Gynaecologist and pain specialist

Professor Vancaillie was integral in starting the Women’s Health Research Institute of Australia (WHRIA). WHRIA is a a collaborative, interdisciplinary team, working together to providing a world-class standard of care in gynaecology, reproductive endocrinology, and pain medicine.

Currently, his main interests are in advanced surgical and medical technology to improve the care of patients with benign gynaecological conditions such as abnormal uterine bleeding, chronic pelvic and perineal pain and pelvic floor

Elizabeth Howard

Osteopath & Pain Education at WHRIA

Elizabeth is an osteopath with over 20 years’ experience in the treatment and management of acute and chronic pain. She has a special interest in holistic pain education, pelvic pain and pregnancy-related pain.

She works alongside Professor Vancaillie at the Women’s Health Research Institute of Australia (WHRIA).

Elizabeth will be speaking about the role manual therapy can play in treating women with complications from pelvic mesh.

Samantha Cattach

Women’s Health Physiotherapist and Restorative Exercise Specialist

Sami is passionate about raising awareness about Women's Pelvic Health. She is one of only two practitioners in the world who is both a Pelvic Health Physiotherapist and Restorative Exercise Specialist as trained under biomechanist Katy Bowman who inspired her love of natural, whole-body movement!

Sami will be sharing her knowledge and approach to pelvic floor health for all women, how the function of these key muscles is dependant on its integration with the entire system, much more than just pelvic floor exercises!

Dr Rhonda Anderson

Exercise Physiologist

Dr Rhonda Anderson, Ph.D., is an exercise physiologist who specialises in healthy ageing for women through her business Fit and Well.

She is a former Australian marathon representative and sports journalist, and has designed and run state-wide health campaigns and developed government policy and programs aimed at supporting girls and women in being more physically active.

Rhonda will be speaking about the impacts of the menopausal transition, and how we can better prepare and support women through those stages as part of a constructive approach to healthy ageing.

Esme Soan

Exercise Physiologist and founder of the Women’s Health Collective

Esme has a passion for working with women through pregnancy and beyond, understanding the importance of exercise on the musculoskeletal & metabolic system.

She is passionate about working with women, and is interested in pelvic floor dysfunction, chronic back and pelvic pain, diabetes management and cancer rehabilitation.

Esme will be speaking about using exercise as medicine to improve women’s health. Learn more about Esme.


Jodie Dunne


Jodie is a sexuality educator, Co-Founder of Endometriosis Australia and is currently a volunteer with QENDO - The Endometriosis Association (Qld) Inc, The Lupus Foundation (Australia) and local Breast Cancer Survivor groups. Jodie has a Bachelor of Health Science and post graduate qualifications in Psychology as well as Sexology. She is also the director of Bliss for Women and online sexual wellness and menstrual health retail store.

Bliss for Women takes a holistic approach to women’s sexuality, sexual wellness and menstrual health.

Jodie is looking forward to giving an insight into what a sexologist does and why this growing field is so important

Dr Anna Gollan

Clinical Psychologist

Anna works with clients suffering from anxiety, worry, stress and depression. She offers long-term and short-term therapy with the goal of growing self-understanding and widened perspective to help you to live better.

Anna believes that it is important that people are made aware that they can make changes that will enable them to manage long-term anxiety. She will be speaking about what chronic anxiety is and how awareness can help us help the women we see.
